ASEAN Infrastructure Fund

ADB and member nations of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) established the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund, a dedicated fund to address the region’s infrastructure development needs by mobilizing regional savings, including foreign exchange reserves. The fund prioritizes ASEAN member countries and provides loans to finance infrastructure investment projects in the transport, energy, water and sanitation, environment and rural development, and social infrastructure sectors.

ADB Supports Indonesia’s First Social Bond and Sukuk Issuance

ADB supported Indonesia’s first social bond and sukuk issuance, and provided technical assistance to support bond framework development, capacity building, and external review through the ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility (ACGF) and the Asian Bond Markets Initiative. The ACGF is an ASEAN Infrastructure Fund initiative to accelerate green infrastructure investments in Southeast Asia.

Innovative Finance Clinic in Viet Nam

In Ha Noi, Viet Nam, the ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility (ACGF) held its first country-specific ACGF Innovative Finance Clinic. The ACGF is an ASEAN Infrastructure Fund initiative supporting governments in Southeast Asia to prepare and finance infrastructure projects that promote environmental sustainability and contribute to climate change goals.
